In Wu Chi Kung Fu we train 8 arts of Chinese Kung Fu. Hsing I is one of those arts and is primarily used to train entries. That is when you are in the position of 'entering' in on an opponent you will use Hsing I to get behind their arms to be able to put a hit on (this is when you then start to use the art of Wu Hsing - hitting).
In the workshop you will learn the fundamental principles behind entries and a unique technique called 'formula'. Throughout the day you will have an opportunity to learn a parallel and crossing formula and train this with others.
It will begin to develop a touch sensitivity in your arms so you will feel where an opponent is and how to 'weave' through their arms to find the target.
By the end of the day your hands will have a very instant and natural response that will feel very intelligent and powerful.
Please see below for a short You Tube vid on Yuan Fu Arthur demonstrating 'weaving hands formula'.
